The most devastating hurricane season hit the Puerto Rico in this year. The residents plunged into one of the worst economic crisis after the Hurricane Irma hit the Island on September. 7th living hundreds of thousands of locals without power. In spite of the fact that significant recovery measures were being carried out, there were about 60,000 residents who were not yet connected to power.

Puerto Rico locals have had the goodwill from the American Red Cross that responded swiftly to tackle the catastrophe. Since before Hurricane Irma made the landfall, Red Cross has strategically placed its employees and hundreds of volunteers on the island. Red Cross organization has mobilized some stakeholders comprising of the corporate, federal as well as community partners to provide the essential relief assistance to the people. The Longstanding Legend of Louis Chênevert

Louis Chênevert is a Canadian businessman most notably known as the former CEO and chairman of United Technologies Corporation (UTC). He received his bachelor’s degree in production management from HEC Montréal, and in May of 2011, he received an honorary doctorate from HEC Montréal. Because of his generous contributions to the aviation industry, he was named Person of the Year by the Aviation Week & Space Technology magazine during that same year.

Before working for UTC, Chênevert worked for General Motors for 14 years before moving to Pratt & Whitney Canada. He was elected president in 1999, after working for Pratt & Whitney for six years. Chênevert was elected CEO in the midst of a recession yet he did not sacrifice production or employees by engaging in offshoring wholesale or outsourcing work. UTC was one of few companies that avoided layoffs. Shares rose from $37 to $117 during Chênevert’s tenure, and in 2010, he orchestrated UTC’s $16.3 billion acquisition of Goodrich, which is one of the biggest deals in aerospace history.

Travel + Leisure Magazine named Nihiwatu the number one resort in the world for the second year in a row. After investing over $30 million dollars in enhancing the resort to an immaculate state of being. With 32 villas all different from each other, some call it paradise.
