Chris Burch is an investor, hotelier, and co-founder of a spread of retail brands that are known all around the world. He also happens to be the man who created Nihi Sumba Island, a hotel that was named the number one hotel in the world by Travel and Leisure Magazine for 2016 and 2017. When asked why he purchased the now famous hotel resort, Burch commented that he did it for his kids as well as for the community of people who call Sumba their home. He really wanted something that would stand the test of time, and he loved that the island of Sumba allowed for building unique experiences that you can’t find anywhere else.
