Carsten Thiel has earned the title of expert in the biopharmaceutical industry and he has contributed to some of the advances in medicine that have been made through the work that he has been part of during his career. While he may have a lot of knowledge and talent for the business side of the industry, his educational background in on the science side of the field as he has studied Biochemistry at the University of Bristol and Molecular Biology at the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry. While he was accepted into the post-doctoral research program at Harvard University, Carsten Thiel decided not to take this route with his career.
Many of the peers of Carsten Thiel went into academia after their education, but this was not the path that he wanted to go down. Instead, he decided to take the opportunity that he was given to work at Hoffman la-Roche, a major name in pharmaceuticals that is known for its forward-thinking way of doing business. The experience that he gained while working for this company was invaluable in the future of his promising career. His current position at Eusa Pharma where he serves as President allows him to impact the world of medicine through innovative products and ideas. The native of Germany currently is based out of the United States in New York City but is involved in doing business in many different regions throughout the world including Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and more. The work that he does in his current position includes maximizing the company’s portfolio while helping to launch new products that are hopefully being brought to the market.
