After a series of partnership founding of various global retail brands with Tory Burch and C. Wonder among others, Chris Burch decided to venture and try his entrepreneurial lack in the hospitality industry. In 2012, Chris Burch and his friend James McBride an hotelier were lucky to purchase the Nihiwatu and later converted it into one of the most classic luxury resort in the area. In one of the interviews hosted by the Business Jet Traveler, Burch confessed that he had purchased the hotel for his children and he had hopes that as a family they would preserve the restaurant as a way to giving back to the community. Chris believes that when one is in an exceptional place to offer something, he should work on it to give the world a different experience.
The Nihiwatu has achieved more than everyone expected for a short period basing on the fact that most projects usually turn into less. The Wall Street Journal has it that if Burch is not spending his time in the Hamptons or the Miami, he is spending at his resort.
